Media Report for the Training Course “Dialogue Skills and Etiquette”
Continuing efforts of promoting constructive dialogue among Syrians and spreading the culture of dialogue and its skills across various groups of Syrian society – especially the youth group – the Syrian Dialogue Center, in line with its mission, held the training course “Dialogue Skills and Literature” in cooperation with the Syrian Students Union in Sakarya during the period 6 – Rabi` Al-Awwal 8, 1442 AH, corresponding to October 23-25, 2020 AD, with the participation of 15 university students.
The course aimed at introducing the participants to the cognitive framework of the dialogue skills. Next, it introduced participants to dialogue strategies and tools, highlighting the importance of communication, persuasion, and influence skills in an effective dialogue. The course concluded by providing guidance on how to run dialogue workshops in practice.
