The media report for the discussion activity “ Consensus And Disagreement In The Situations Of Revolution And Opposition Forces: Conclusions Of Analyzing Situations Of A Complete Year”
In line with the message of the Syrian Dialogue Center in its work to build consensus regarding national eligibilities and after issuing the fifth edition of the national consensus indicator which monitored the positions of consensus and disagreement between the Revolution and Opposition Forces, and with the aim of discussing some outcomes and results that appeared on the indicator, the Syrian Dialogue Center held an interactive virtual seminar on 24th of Dhul-Hijjah, 3rd of August 2021 with the title: ‘Consensus and disagreement in the situations of Revolution and Opposition Forces: Conclusions of analyzing situations of a complete year” and this is with the attendance of a number of politicians, activists and persons of interest.
The seminar probed to discussing how to build on the achieved consensus between Opposition and Revolution Forces regarding issues related to internal cases whether towards what is happening in the areas under the control of the Regime or “Syrian Democratic Forces” or even in the areas of Revolution and Opposition forces. The seminar also discussed the means and tools that can be worked on politically in order to increase awareness about the importance of the legal and rights file in the freed north. Moreover, the seminar probed to the silence condition that dominated the Revolution and Opposition forces in some situations.
The seminar witnessed wide interaction from the attendees who participated in enriching the content of the seminar through displaying a lot of thoughts that can participate in narrowing the differences in views regarding the consensus indicators between Revolution and Opposition Forces. Moreover, some of them saw that it is not important to have permanent consensus and disagreement might be natural in some cases.
