The media report for the discussion seminar “Iran and extremists’ groups… relationships and conformities in the conflict areas”
It’s accurate to describe Iran’s relationship to the groups of extremism and fanaticism as a hidden “investment” that was built on mutual interests and Iran was the biggest winner in this relationship. This was asserted through the implications of this relationship in the Syrian state and what it caused of destruction and blood to the region. However, the investment relationship between the two parties didn’t begin in Syria and won’t stop within its borders even though their transnational relationship was based on the blood of the Syrians and on the account of the Syrian revolution.
Within the efforts of the Syrian Dialogue Center in analyzing the stances of the activists and effective persons in the Syrian arena and as a participation in studying the unpublicized relationship between Iran, and the extremists and fanatics groups. The Syrian Dialogue Center had a study with the title “Iran’s investment in the groups of extremism and fanaticism” and this study came in two editions:
1- Iran’s investment in the groups of extremism and fanaticism.
2- Iran and extremist organizations. Relationships and conformities in the conflict areas.
With the purpose of enriching the study’s topic and better understanding the relationship between Iran and extremists and the effect of that on the Syrian arena and helping Iran’s expansion project in the entire region and in order to discuss ways of facing the Iranian project with a group of specialists and experts, the Syrian Dialogue Center held on 10th of Dhu al-Qadah 1442, 20th of June 2021 a virtual seminar with the title “Iran and the extremist organizations…. relationships and conformity in the conflict areas” with the attendance of many researchers and persons that are interested in this regard.
The seminar had an active participation of the researcher in the Syrian Dialogue Center: Dr. Yassin Gamol and the Lebanese political writer and analyst and the consultant of Umayya’s Center for Researches and Studies: Dr. Fady Shamya as they provided a presentation and expanded information about the hidden relationship between Iran and extremist groups and the date of their establishment as well as the countries that witnessed and hosted cooperation between the two parties and the implications of that. The two speakers also asserted the importance of revealing this hidden relationship to the public opinion.
The seminar had a good participation from the attendees who showed big appreciation for what have been displayed during the seminar. They called for sharing the content of the seminar on a wider scope and they also shared a lot of thoughts and issues that enriched the discussion. The seminar also gave facts about the role of Tehran in forming relationship with the extremist groups and supporting them financially and militarily in order to invest them in the Iranian project.
