The Syrian Dialogue Center launches the National Consensus Index
The revolutionary and opposition forces have suffered over the past years from difficulties that have consolidated in different entities for various reasons. This has led to the existence of a general perception of the disunion of these forces and the difficulty of gathering them on a united political stance or vision.
The Syrian Dialogue Center, in order to confirm its theses and in harmony with its message in “Achieving Integration, Coexistence and Guiding National Decisions,” took the initiative to monitor the stances of these forces towards the most prominent political issues. It did so in accordance with a academic methodology based on monitoring and analyzing these stances with the goal of measuring the extent of consensus between them.
Considering the importance of the index for the Syrian national context, the center is moving to adopt it as one of its core projects as based on the feedback of stakeholders from interested and observing researchers and forces. This is in addition to working to develop it in cooperation with interested parties in guiding the National Syrian Movement to issue and disseminate its publications to all the national authorities and the Syrian political actors biannually.
