Towards Transforming the Principles of the Revolution Into an Issue in the Minds of Syrians: Lessons Learned From the Palestinian Experience
Analytical Paper
The paper examines ways to transform the principles of the revolution into a case in the minds of the Syrians, based on the study of the Palestinian experience, which was able to implant its cause in subsequent generations and know its tools and policies. The paper then tries to identify the obstacles in front of transforming the Syrian situation into a case that Syrians of all stripes carry.
In its first section, the paper sought to describe the Syrian situation while the second section of the paper presented a review of the Palestinian experience by highlighting the features of the formation of community work or what is known as popular mobilization work historically. The paper closes with the third section which attempted to answer the question: “Has the Syrian case been transformed to a cause in the hearts of her children?” and identify some of the obstacles that affected this process. The paper then presents a set of recommendations that the Syrians can benefit from in preserving the gains of the revolution and in deepening the intellectual and social changes that occurred during these years which would enable them to turn the principles of the revolution into a case that is firmly rooted in the conscience of the Syrian people.
