The protests were a result of \u201cQSD\u2019s\u201d involvement in many violations, neglection of services, and protection of corrupt individuals according to the residents.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cQSD\u201d tried very hard to divert the protests from their context and make them an issue between two tribes; a matter which could cause the eruption of a huge tribal conflict in Deir-Ezzor\u2019s countryside.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cQSD\u201d employs the local Arab residents as a front for many corrupt files, it also controls all decision making under the table by utilising what are known as \u201ccadres\u201d, who are in their majority Kurdish Worker\u2019s Party members.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The international community understands the weight of the tribal component in Deir-Ezzor; thus, it attempts to relieve and contain the massive tensions between \u201cQSD\u201d and the Arab tribes, fearing the eruption of chaos and lack of security in Deir-Ezzor, a region the international community gives great importance.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Iran, along with the Assad\u2019s regime, tries to use the tribal card against \u201cQSD\u201d, pressuring them to protest or even conduct operations against the international coalition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sydialogue.org\/%d9%86%d8%b8%d8%b1%d8%a9-%d8%b9%d9%84%d9%89-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a7%d8%ad%d8%aa%d8%ac%d8%a7%d8%ac%d8%a7%d8%aa-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%b9%d8%b4%d8%a7%d8%a6%d8%b1%d9%8a%d8%a9-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a3%d8%ae%d9%8a%d8%b1\/\">Read the full report (Arabic)<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This report sheds a light on the latest protests against \u201cQSD\u201d in Deir-Ezzor starting with the factors behind it, \u201cQSD\u2019s\u201d response to them and how affective the tribal component is, as well as the weight this component carries in affecting \u201cQSD\u2019s\u201d governance.
