The perception of the political solution in Syria on the international level has gone through multiple stages and during this journey that took about eight years, many changes and developments happened to the provisions of the political solution. In the light of these changes, and after the first sessions of the constitutional committee, the main question that rose among the revolution and opposition forces was: How did we reach this point? This report forms an introduction for a series of three parts that analyze the past stage in order to expect the fate of the political tract after the constitutional committee. The report reviews the most distinctive international documents related to the political solution which are included within the documents of United Nations and Security Council. The report also analyses the changes that happened to some concepts and visions on which this solution was built.<\/p>\n

The report is divided into two parts: The first part discusses the track of political solution in Syria and the second part focuses on the changes that happened to the most significant concepts of the political solutions.<\/p>\n
