Media Report for the Seminar: “A Honest Dialogue between Social Actors and Humanitarian Organizations in the city of Ariha”
In accordance with its message of strengthening the culture of dialogue and spreading it within Syrian society, and in order to solidify the social links between the social context in the liberated areas and civil society organizations, the Syrian Dialogue Center held a seminar with the title “A Honest Dialogue between Social Actors and Humanitarian Organizations in the city of Ariha.” The seminar took place on Tuesday 14 Rabia Al-akhira 1440 H./ December 25, 2018.
The seminar’s aim was to conduct an honest and open dialogue between the most important humanitarian organizations and social events working in the city which would help create a state of transparency to strengthen trust between these parties. The humanitarian organizations demonstrated their projects in the city, as well as how they plan to develop them in the future and the challenges that face them, whereas the latter commented on and made inquires about these organizations.
There was a near consensus between the participants on the necessity of strengthening coordination between the local organizations on their different levels in order for them to integrate with one another. The participants’ contributions focused on the most important problems the city suffers from in terms of services and standards of living, especially in providing water and education. They further agreed on the necessity on development projects inside the city to provide more new work opportunities.
